This year, The Lifted Project reached national acclaim as it became the platform for the announcement of a federal law for protection of domestic abuse survivors and their families. Again the chairs emptied, again people cried and laughed, and again, we were all lifted.
Our event filled a chapel, attracted the attention of Congress and Wappinger, and most importantly raised money and awareness for our four nonprofit partners.
